Can you believe it?

They sent my income tax return form back to me!

In response to question # 4, "Do you have any dependants?"
 
I replied:
 
"2.1 million illegal immigrants,
1.1 million crack heads,
4.4 million unemployable people,

901 thousand people in over 85 prisons,
and 650 idiots in Parliament."

It's so frustrating when you lose something, an item dropped in a shop or left in a cafe or just dropped along the way somewhere.

We never expect to see them again but you never know, if we give someone the chance of returning them it is quite likely they will turn up. Most people are honest and will return things when they know to whom they should go.

With this in mind Village Yak has introduced a Lost and Found service.

NEWSLETTER ISSUE No1 Feb-2012

Dear Member. Welcome to the first newsletter of 2012, outlining the draft programme for this year.

March 30th. We start the year with a social event; Florence will bring some cheeses for us to sample while the committee sort out tea coffee and French bread. Bring your own wine and we’ll meet in the church at 7.00 for 7.30. The price will be £2.50 – please book in advance so we can bring enough for everyone.

The lucky winning ticket  for the St Radigunds Tapestry Picture was purchased by Mrs Barbara Heath. Congratulations

Once again there has been a victim in Capel-le-Ferne with someone pretending to be calling from Microsoft and offering to 'speed-up / fix' their computer.

Unfortunately, the owner followed the instructions and downloaded a piece of software that told them that their computer was infected. They paid to uninfect the machine. Of course this never happened and they were left with a computer they could not use. Further sums of money were then deducted from their credit card another day.

Hi Folks 

We have just had a collection bag delivered for clothes on behalf of little treasures children’s trust charity number 119024.

From what I can see on the web I am in two minds about this charity. If you are debating whether to put the bag out then my advice would be to give your clothes to a local known charity.

Given all the scams reported lately about people posing as Microsoft employees I thought I would share this I was sent by one of my colleagues

I have received yet another call from a customer who has been contacted by someone clearly trying to trick them by claimimg there are faults on their PC. This time  a customer in Hythe was targetted by someone with an Indian accent claimimg that they had detected that their PC had viruses which she could deal with --- for a price.

From April 2011 anyone teaching in the further education sector is expected to pay £68 for a membership fee for the Institute for Learning.

CAPEL CHURCH HALL RE-BUILDING FUND PROGRAMME FOR 2011

Leaking roofs are not nice as a friend of ours had the misfortune to find out. We also know of gates missing, in fact anything they think is metal.

Everyone who attended the Max Collie birthday night at the Royal Oak on Monday 21st Feb was rewarded with a cracking night out. The band  entertained a packed house with a non-stop performance of many Jazz greats.
